Board certified in cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Meyer completed medical school at the University of California-Los Angeles, and residencies in general, thoracic, and cardiovascular surgery at UT Southwestern-affiliated hospitals. In addition, he was selected for an advanced fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Meyer specializes in minimally invasive mitral valve repair, aortic valve surgery, and advanced procedures on adult patients with end-stage heart failure. Dr. Meyer also specializes in minimally invasive lung surgeries, including the lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS), which provides life-changing treatment for COPD and emphysema sufferers. He also performs a minimally-invasive procedure to treat the condition known as hyperhidrosis, or excess sweating, which most commonly affects the hands, but can also occur in the face, scalp, and armpits.
